RICHMOND, Ind. — A photo of two Indiana police officers that allegedly shows them sleeping in their cruiser has sparked a spirited online discussion.

Sarah E. Lawrence posted several photos on Facebook that she claimed were taken Saturday morning at St. Andrews Cemetery in Richmond. The photos show two Richmond police officers who appear to be asleep in their cruiser, which is parked on a cemetery road.

The reaction to the sleeping officers was mixed. While some were annoyed that public servants appeared to be sleeping on the job, others came to their defense, saying they may have been on break.

Richmond Police Chief Jim Branum told The Palladium-Item that he will launch an internal investigation into the matter. He said department policy prohibits officers from sleeping while on duty, and the officers could face disciplinary action.

This hilarious video — which was uploaded to the official CBC News YouTube channel — depicts the most horrific Canadian road rage incidents we’ve ever seen!

The video begins with a jovial Canadian police officer being interviewed on a bridge by the CBC News team. Then, the interview points out a road rage incident unfolding on the road below.
The event that unfolds is — by Canadian standards — so horrifying that it has to be seen to be believed. And the obscenities that fly are very offensive (again, by Canadian standards.)
This video is not for the fainthearted. You have been warned.

In Wicker Park, a cyclist was bludgeoned over the head with a drum after he hit the back of a van window with a lock and broke it Sunday evening. The altercation was caught on camera. But according to the victim, the video doesn’t show the whole story.

The cyclist, Trajan Vivens, 23, has started a GoFundMe to pay for his long recovery.

In a post, he writes that he needed to fix his teeth and insurance will only cover a portion of the cost. Vivens has raised $730 as of this morning but needs an additional $4,000 to cover the costs of braces.

“Due to a racist a—— smacking me upside the head with a drum, I am now in need of braces,” Vivens writes. “My insurance does not cover all of [that] and I only need $4,000 to cover the rest of the surgery.

“Help me get my face back, please.”

According to Vivens, he says he was knocked off his bike by the van driver near Presence St. Mary’s Hospital after leaving the emergency room after visiting a friend. When he turned off on Leavitt Street – he was knocked by the van headed south.

“He clipped me as I was coming out of the hospital. I went up to him and told him that he clipped me,” Vivens told DNAinfo Chicago. The driver proceeded to swear at him and used the n-word.

“That term has a lot behind it. It was straight anger. That was what I was feeling,” said Vivens.

The short video begins with the two men arguing and cursing at each other. Vivens can be heard calling the van driver the n-word which he said in the interview, “I used it back on him because I was angry.”

The two can be seen separating and after the driver gets back into his van, Vivens runs up and breaks the window of the driver’s van, proceeding to run away. In response to being called a racial slur, Vivens said.

The driver then can be seen getting out of the driver’s side door, opening the van’s hatch and removing what looks to be a drum. The driver runs after Vivens, hits him in the head from behind and knocks Vivens off the bike. The video which ends with the driver walking back to his van and returning the drum was posted on Facebook late Sunday and has received more than 4 million views.

After regaining consciousness, Vivens said he went to the hospital with a broken jaw, a split lip and a few loose teeth in the fight. A police report was not immediately available regarding the incident.

Vivens said he was not sure who taped the incident. The Pilsen kitchen worker who bikes “all day every day” said he would need to take time off from his job because of his injuries.

“I can’t even speak… I can’t even chew. I am stuck eating liquids for the next six months,” he said.

When the suspect attempted to car jack a vehicle coming out of a car wash, deputies tried to subdue him with a stun gun to no avail.

It was after the suspect allegedly reached into his backpack for a gun that the deputy shot him at close range, killing him instantly.

Houston Fire Department EMS responded but could not help the motorcyclist.

This video comes from the tremendously titled YouTube channel Dash Cam Owners Australia, which obviously contains a a glorious collection of clips that combine two of the finest viral video ingredients: dashcams and Australians. This particular video also includes a dash of instant karma, meaning it’s as close to perfect as any video you’re likely to see.

As the video begins, we see a car come to a sudden stop in front of the car from which the footage is being captured. The driver and passenger of the dashcam car are clearly confused by stop, but they soon discover why the car in front has paused, as the disgruntled driver gets out of the car.

RELATED: Two guys confronted another driver with a bat, but quickly learned he was an MMA fighter

Presumably possessed by road rage, the angry man lunges for the dashcam car, but he pays the price for his aggression — his car rolls backwards, and the door knocks him to the ground. He loses a flip-flop, and his car makes contact with the car behind as the driver and passenger swear hilariously in Aussie accents.

You’d think this humiliation would be enough for the angry man to turn tail and run. But nope. He gets to his feet and continues moving toward the other vehicle, only to be shut down by the commands of its inhabitants: “Mate, put your car in park!”

There’s plenty of wildlife videos on the internet, but very few of them are able to get as up and close and personal to the animals they feature as this incredible Kruger Sightings video — which was recorded on a GoPro in South Africa’s Kruger National Park.

The video was recorded by a 30-year-old professional field guide named Christof Schoeman who decided to place his GoPro strategically in the middle of a frequented trail towards a watering hole, according to the video’s description.

“True to her nature this lioness curiously walked over to the camera and picked it up between her powerful jaws,” Schoeman told LatestSightings.com. “I couldn’t contain my excitement when she grabbed the GoPro and just thought about how awesome the footage was going to be!”

The footage of the lioness approaching the camera is impressive enough, but then she picks up the camera with her mouth and walks around as the lens points at her extremely sharp teeth and huge tongue. “The lioness preceded to walk around with it for about 6 minutes and then both her and her sister started playing with it,” Schoeman said. “They eventually lost interest which is how I was able to retrieve the camera back filled with lion saliva.”

Shoeman also said the camera wasn’t broken but “the GoPro was full of scratches from the sharp canines of the lioness.”

Candy shop employee Tina Aucker recently got the shock of her life when she discovered a bear hanging out in her Gatlinburg, Tennessee workplace.

“I come walking around like this and there was a bear standing right there,” Aucker told ABC 6. “And I looked at it like this and I said, ‘Hang on one moment and I’ll be right back.’ I turned around, walked back to the door and yelled, ‘Amy, there’s a bear out here.’”

Fortunately, there were no customers in the store the time of the bear’s arrival, but the employees think the bear came in because it was startled by the large crowds outside on the street taking pictures.

Auker says the bear quickly vacated the premises. “Poor thing. Believe me, I would’ve gave him everything,” she said. “It was pretty wild.”

The town of Gatlingburg rests at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains, meaning that bear sightings are fairly common. The National Park Service website says bears in the area behave unpredictably and have been known to attack humans, although these types of incidents are very rare.

The Brazos River is one of those areas. More than just an outcropping of the natural terrain that Texas has carved up into civilization, the Brazos River is also a throwback to a bygone time.

A high school teacher was caught bashing the military in an infuriating classroom rant

Warning: the footage in this article contains vulgar language.

A Southern California high school teacher Gregory Salcido is facing immense backlash after a tape of him disparaging the miltitary goes viral.

In a series of videos, Salcido, 49, was secretly recorded in a student in his classroom bashing servicemen and servicewomen. The vulgar footage was spread after being posted on Facebook by a woman claiming to be a friend of the unnamed student’s mother, reported the Daily Mail.

RELATED: Mother of viral bullied boy responds to vicious backlash over confederate flag photo

“My friend’s son was sporting his marine sweater while this liberal douche teacher rants about the military,” wrote Kimberlie Flauto. She called for the public to “make this go viral.” The stealthily shot video did not feature Salcido or any students’ faces, but officials at El Rancho High confirmed the speaker and that it was taped in a classroom.

“Think about the people who you know are over there. Your freakin’ stupid Uncle Louie or whatever,” Salcido can be heard saying while students laugh in the background. “They’re dumb s***ts. They’re not like high-level thinkers. They’re not academic people. They’re not intellectual people.”

He continued his disgusting remarks, adding that service people are “the freakin’ lowest of our low. Not morally – I’m not saying they make bad moral decisions – they’re not talented people.”

District Superintendent Karling Aguilera-Fort told the Orange County Register that an investigation is being conducted into the incident. According to the El Rancho high staff directory, Salcido teaches U.S Government and Politics and Sociology, in addition to serving as a Pico Rivera City Councilman.

“We cannot expose the disciplinary measures because it is a personnel matter, but there will be disciplinary measures taken,” Aguilera-Fort said. “Our first priority is to assure the community that what was said does not reflect the values of the El Rancho community and the El Rancho board.”

The unnamed student told the OCR that he’d only meant to show the video to his mother, but she shared it to her friends. As a relative of Marine veterans, the 17-year-old student found the comments to be “disrespectful.”

“It was so disrespectful to my dad and my uncles and all veterans and those still in the military,” he said.

The Pico Rivera Mayor released a press release issuing support for and “recognition that [military service peoples’ contributions are respected and we are grateful for their service.”

This incident was reportedly not Salcido’s first complaint. He was previously placed on leave and suspended for alleged threats against students, according to the Mail.

Salcido posted his own response about the backlash, citing his belief in free speech.

“I don’t think it’s wise for me to make any comments,” he wrote on Facebook, “but I want my friends, family, and students to know we are fine and we respect the rights of free expression for all individuals.”

After allegedly gunning down an off-duty police officer in Chicago, a suspected cop-killer received a shockingly warm welcome in prison.

A video released by the Cook County Sheriff’s Office shows suspect Shomari Legghette being escorted into a holding cell after leaving his first court hearing when a group of inmates begins to clap their hands as he walks past. The footage shows Legghette entering the hallway surrounded by armed guards and being followed out by police officers while the inmates walk around their crowded cell. Jail officials are, justifiably, upset with the incident, calling for it to be used during Legghette’s prosecution, reported the NY Post.

“We are forwarding the video of this horrific and despicable behavior to the state’s attorney’s office with a request that this behavior be considered in the sentencing of the identified offenders,” said Cara Smith, chief policy officer for Sheriff Tom Dart, to the Chicago Tribune.

Jail officials also intend to relocate all of the inmates who applauded Legghette to institutions outside of the county “so the jail can operate as it is intended,” reported the Post.

According to the Post, Legghette had left his court appearance where he faces charges of first-degree murder of a peace officer, armed violence, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly shot and killed Commander Paul Bauer, 53, an off-duty veteran officer on Tuesday. Cmdr. Bauer was helping officers chase down Legghette as he fled after being approached for an interview during a drug mission. The pair grappled with one another, and according to a witness, seven shots were fired. Bauer was hit six times.

Bauer’s childhood friend Steve Matteo spoke fondly of him to the Chicago Tribune.

“He didn’t have to answer that call. But that was his nature,” Matteo said. “He wanted things to be better. He wanted to make a difference. He still did (the job) because he cared about people and he cared about the city.”

His sister Jane Schuliet echoed the sentiment, saying, “He was just constantly, no matter what, figuring out a way to make things better for people. The world lost a little bit of goodness when he died.”
